Well, we've had our first snow of 2014! It got down to 23 degrees at my house this morning and the forecast is a high of about 44 sometime today. All of the LTISD schools are closed along with the Lakeway City Offices - I guess it will be quiet! Stay home if you can, the streets are slick and possible icy.
Council met Tuesday evening in regular session. The new Stratus Development that will have a HEB and several shops and stores was passed unanimously, this was a zoning change and implemented a PUD - look for construction to start soon. There was very little input from citizens on the project.
The proposed Lexus Dealership items were also passed unanimously with no citizen input. I expect that will start soon also.
In fact, all the rest of the items were passed without much fanfare!
The Arts Committee was given the go ahead for 2 more wind sculptures on Lohmans Crossing.
The Pedestrian Trail Improvement Project was put off and will be taken up again next month. Council is looking for other options.
The Sun Auto Service SUP was passed allowing an auto repair facility to be built just North of the Arbor Car Wash.
And finally, an annexation study update was presented to Council and the City will be moving ahead in annexation proceedings on property North and West of Bee Creek Road up to Hwy 71.
I have several more items of interest and will do an update when I get on my PC - doing this from my IPAD is turning out to be a pain!
More in a couple of days!
