Free Seminar, It Was a Tornado and the Police Report

A couple of things I left out Saturday and the police report follows as promised:

Baylor Scott & White is doing a free seminar on "Causes and Treatment for Knee Pain" this Thursday, June 22 at 6 p.m.

Don't forget July 4th is coming up soon!  Here is a link to more information - the application to be in the parade is also on a link top right of the blog.

Turns out the storm damage in Point Venture in April was a tornado after all!  Here is a link to a report by KXAN.

From the Chief:

Patrol Officers responded to a Casa Verde address in reference to a prior Suspicious Person call.  The nine year old granddaughter of the complainant advised that two days prior, a male subject driving a white van or pickup followed her.  She ran inside her residence to her bedroom and observed the suspect looking in the adjacent bedroom window.  A close patrol was placed on the incident location.

Patrol Officers responded to a Copperleaf Road address in reference to a Criminal Mischief.  At approximately 08:15 in the morning the victim heard a loud noise and later discovered that her back window had been shattered.  She located a gold BB shaped pellet in her window.  The BB could have possibly come from the neighbor’s children.

CID/Animal Protection

***UPDATE***Detectives met with the Travis County District Attorney’s Office, White Collar Crime Unit, to discuss a case that was originally filed in 2010 with the Lakeway Police Department. The allegation of fraud eventually led to a charge being filed in 2014, Misapplication of Fiduciary Property (Felony, 2nd Degree). At this time, a new prosecutor has been assigned to handle the case, as well as a new defense attorney to represent the defendant. According to the prosecutor, the judge will not allow anymore resets on the case and a plea offer has been presented to the defendant.
