Another week has gone by, the weather still can't make up its mind and your City is busy working for you.
This week staff met with a developer who wants to build a new medical office building at Lakeway Medical Village (hospital area). This would be a 3 story with primarily medical offices. This seems like a good fit for the campus, we'll see what happens.
It looks like next week we will get construction costs for the proposed Police Station. The building committee will meet with them to review the project and get the cost estimate.
The Friends of the Parks Annual meeting was last Wednesday and Mayor Pro Tem Dewight Haley represented me there. He said the meeting was a wonderful opportunity to get to know some folks that work hard to make our parks better.
The Lakeway Rotary met Thursday and celebrated their 25th anniversary. I was privileged to present them with a proclamation honoring their anniversary and service to the community. They meet every month at High 5 on the 4th Thursday.
CBC met in regular session Wednesday - here was the agenda. The height was approved on item 4 and 5-6 were granted with slight adjustments. 15 site inspections were completed with 13 approved.
