OPERATIONS & SUPPORT:
Following Patrol Division's apprehension of three juveniles suspected of burglarizing vehicles, the CID was able to identify two other suspects. Additionally we were able to identify some previously unreported burglaries. Detectives were able to recover 98% of the stolen property which will be returned to the victims. Detectives were able to obtain confessions from 4 out of the 5 suspects which will allow our agency to file 6 separate counts of Burglary of Vehicles on each of them.

CID conducted an investigation into a reported theft case at a local business and was able to file Theft (Class B Misdemeanor) charges on the two suspects in the case. They should be apprehended this week. CID fielded a report of a sexual assault. It was determined that the case occurred outside of our jurisdiction and the case was transferred to APD. All dispatchers have completed “ProQA” training and we will go live with the system in two weeks. A complaint on an officer was cleared as exonerated using the network fleet system. When confronted with the GPS evidence, the complainant admitted to lying about the encounter with the officer.
