Police Blotter from Last Week, Water

 PATROL
-LPD officers made several routine traffic stops:
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia X 1.
-Officers met with a subject at the police department whom reported that their Debit/Credit Card had been used by an unknown person. Officers took a report of credit card abuse/theft.
-Officers took a report of Criminal Mischief at a Lohman’s Crossing business. A subject reported that while at work unknown person punctured the sidewalls of his car tires.
-Officers responded to a Palos Verde address for a report of Burglary of a Vehicle. The report indicates that a lap top computer and several other items were taken from inside the vehicle, while a bicycle was taken from the rooftop rack.
-Officers responded to a Longwood Drive address to take a report of Attempted Theft. The victim reports that his vehicle was found in the driveway with blocks behind the wheels and lug nuts removed. There was no theft completed in this case.
Officers responded to a RR 620 South business to take a report of Theft. A local merchant reported merchandise was stolen from their store.
-Officers responded to Lakeway Regional Medical Center for a report of a possible sexual assault. After investigation it was learned that this incident occurred in Austin. Our detectives responded and transported the subject to meet with the Austin PD Detectives.  

 OPERATIONS & SUPPORT
-We attended the training session “Understanding the Medical Aspects of Child Abuse” presented by Dell Children’s Medical Center CARE Team.
We are continuing to receive cases related to phone scams. Please do not give anyone money, unless you can verify that the information or the request is valid.
-We co-hosted and instructed a mental health officer certification course which was attended by multiple agencies.  The class was held at Georgetown PD.
-All dispatchers completed their 40 hour training on the new ProQA dispatch system.
-We selected a GPS tracking device and will be working with finance to purchase the devices in this budget cycle or the next.
-We gave interviews to FOX news and KLBJ radio regarding the hands free ordinance. -Finally we began making plans for our Honor Guard to receive the US Honor Flag and escort it to the funeral of slain Hutto Sgt. Kelley.
