Short report this week - couple of items today, more as I find out.
The big news this week was the City Secretary, Donna Boyle, is leaving the City to work with her daughter at her new day care center in the Highlands. We certainly will miss her and wish her all the best in the new endeavor! Thanks Donna for your years of service!
City Council will meet in regular session Monday evening - here is that agenda. Here is a link to all the Council Member's back-up documents, give it a minute - it's a large file.
Item 5 is simply voting on a agreement to move to a new financial advisory group - we have several issues looming that staff feels that the new group will be an asset on - this includes a possible bond election to buy parkland and other city needs.
Item 6 is a SUP (Special Use Permit) to allow a drive through for a new bank to be located in the Hospital District. It will be on the Eastern side near 620 and will be accessed from interior roads.
Item 8 concerns the lawsuit filed by Recovery Ways and Council will go into Executive Session to discuss the case with legal counsel.
-----------------------
We had some beneficial rain last week - most was light and very little drained into Lake Travis. Much of it went in Austin and East of town - mostly downstream. According to my info, we lost about a foot from July 1st to the 15th - and it came up an inch or two with the rain.
Hope everyone is having a great weekend! More as I find out!
