Exxon, Brush Program, Bond Election, CBC

The tanks were removed at the old Exxon station, samples of the ground were sent out for analysis - usually takes 7-10 days. If no problems are found, the dirt will go back in the hole and concrete cover will be restored. If there is an issue, hopefully the correction process won't take too long. Thanks Shannon and Greg!

The Spring Clean Up program was canceled because of Oak Wilt issues. The Forester did studies and found a relationship between the service and Oak Wilt expansion. It was also very expensive and the City was required to hire folks and rent equipment to make it work. The City has decided to start up their brush disposal service again for folks that need to dispose of cuttings that the trash service can not handle. On the 1st Thursday (starting in April) you can haul your trimmings to The Public Works department located on Serene Hills Dr. just past the Elementary School.

The City Elections were canceled. The Bond election for the Library District will continue with the Library District funding the election process. The District knew there was a chance that this would happen and planned for the expense.

CBC will meet in regular session tomorrow, Thursday the 24th at 9AM. Here is their agenda.

For the AOL folks, still haven't heard from them on my request to allow my hyperlinks through their system.

More as I hear it!
