The financial report was presented by Treasurer Al Tyson - it appears the City is in good financial shape and we are over budget on revenues and under budget on expenses - good work!
Presentation of the Audit Report was made by Singleton, Clark & Company, P.C. - Mrs. Oakley and City were awarded an A+ on the audit - the presenter couldn't say enough on how our Staff excelled and said they were doing an exceptional job. GOOD WORK!
The contentious topic of the evening was a discussion of proposed short term rental legislation. This was a discussion item only and both sides were heard on the issue. No action was taken and there was interest in obtaining more data on issues caused by these rentals. More to come I'm sure!
A budget amendment was passed allocating $37,600 from the General Fund to update the Flint Rock Road Design Summary Report by HDR Engineering. This will be used when and if the Bond by the county for road improvements is passed.
A motion was approved to use $49,000 from the Parkland Fund in construction of a new trail in the median of Lakeway Boulevard from Lohmans Crossing to Top O' the Lake Dr. Good work on that Andra!
The election was canceled and Mayor and three Council Members were declared elected since they were unopposed. No SIGNS!
The Consent Agenda was passed, please welcome Ward Beebe as Assistant Treasurer, Bridget Bertram as Parks and Rec. Committee Member and James Wickesberg as Parks and Rec. Committee Member. Thanks to you folks for serving in our wonderful community!
