Weekly News!

Monday it's time for the regular Council meeting. Here is the agenda. Notable entries are the 1st Public Hearing on the Villas annexation and the Crosswater Yacht Club Project will be discussed. Council will also be briefed on the Proposed Creation of a Groundwater Conservation District and the lawsuit that East El Paso Medical Group has filed against the City and the Lakeway Airpark.

There is another law suit going on that I have posted about previously. It is Mitchell v. City of Lakeway and others. Currently it is in the arbitration stage. Here is a copy of the Complaint.

Wednesday the MUD met for their regular meeting and this was the agenda. Very few folks attend these meetings even though their tax rate is higher than the City of Lakeway's. Of note was the discussion of surplus properties and the 19 acre earnest money contract was discussed again with corrections.

The "Shake-a-Leg" 5K Race and 1 Mile Mosey will be held on Highlands Blvd. starting at 8:30AM Saturday, 11/13. Probably will be a cool event (literally) and hopefully there will be a big crowd! Here is more info.

Emmaus Catholic Church will be holding their 9th annual Fall Festival this weekend. Here is a flyer with all the info!

Get ready for Christmas!

Breakfast With Santa is coming up December 11th. Here is a link with info on getting tickets! GREAT event!

Sing Along will be doing their Christmas Show Sunday, December 5th at 2:00 and 4:30 at the Lakeway Activity Center. The only admission charge is an unwrapped gift for a child up to age 17. Gifts are distributed to area children at Christmas time by the Hudson Bend Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.
