Spicy Parrot Closes - Just learned that the Spicy Parrot has closed its doors. I'm not sure what will go in their spot yet.
Per the Bee Cave Bee, Lakeway's sales tax revenue was up 21% over last year through September. Good news!
Next week, CBC will meet on Thursday at 9:00 (regular meeting). Here is that agenda. Looks like they will rule on several waivers.
Veterans Day was the BEST ever in Lakeway this year! Over 300 in attendance, LTHS added their choir to the program, Lakeway Elementary had their student council recite the Pledge and Serene Hills Elementary offered letters to veterans and a free lunch to vets in their cafeteria on 11/17! A LTHS graduate who had received a Bronze Star attended and we have 8 new names on the monument.

Ramming Paving began our street overlay program last week. They should finish up late next week.
City Staff met with Friends of the Park to talk about future trails in Rough Hollow. Chessie Blanchard is currently working with the developer to acquire access to some desirable areas!
The steering committee for the Lake Travis economic impact study will recommend a company soon to perform the study. Once that is done and approved we will need to fund the project.
There have been some noise complaints from residents around the Rough Hollow Grill. Negotiations are going on and some resolution is expected in the near future.
An economic impact study for the Lakeway Regional Medical Center has been completed at no cost to the city by Jorge Barro, a graduate student of economics a the University of Texas at Austin. Here is a link to the study!
There is a problem with the light on the American Flag at 620 and Lakeway Blvd. An electrician has been called and it should be repaired soon.
We had a dog attack Friday afternoon on Sunfish by a Pit Bull. The victim was walking his dogs when he and his dogs were attacked by the animal. He went to the hospital with cuts and abraisions on his hand and his dogs were treated by a veterinarian. The Pit Bull is currently quarantined f or 14 days and the owner was cited for an animal attack. Please keep your animals under control and contained!
