What's Happening?

If you missed the "Dancing With the Stars" event supporting the Lake Travis Community Library, you really missed a fun event. Our own Police Chief Todd Radford won the competition - here is a youtube video of his winning performance! Chief Radford's Dance

Tonight, Tuesday October 5th, is National Night Out. There are several folks around town putting together meet and greets so you can get to know your neighbors.

The ZAPCO meeting is Wednesday, October 6th at 9:10AM. Here is the agenda. ZAPCO agenda. Of special interest will be the Annexation Program and a Zoning Ordinance change for the AV (Aviation) zoning district. There are also several signs and model homes on the agenda.

This weeks Men's Breakfast Club will feature Ted Lain from Steiner Ranch Dermatology.

From Steven Jones Report ---

Judge Madison is one of the first graduates from a new study course offered by the National Judicial College titled Traffic Issues for Judges and Adjudicators. Congratulations!

The City purchased traffic counters in order to do some analysis of traffic on our local streets. They are doing studies on Highlands Blvd. currently.

The City is installing ribbon curb on the westbound lane of Lakeway Blvd near South El Dorado Dr. because of a drop-off at the edge of the road.

The City Manager and Assistant City Manager met with residents of Travis Oak Trails to discuss possible annexation of their neighborhood.

Deer trapping began last Thursday, September 30th at 5:30PM. Please stay away from the trapping areas.

AT&T has contractors working hard to install fiber to several locations in Lakeway to enable their U-verse service. Looks like Time Warner might get some competition in the near future.

More to come soon I'm sure!
